Job Description

Reports to: Vice President, Marketing Operations

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $135,000 - $150,000 base, plus bonus and equity

What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You’ll Do:

Huntress is scaling its Marketing Operations team, and we're seeking a dynamic Senior Email Marketing Manager to spearhead our email strategy and execution!

In this critical role, you will be the central figure in how we connect with our audience through email. You'll have complete channel ownership, from ensuring optimal deliverability and technical configurations (DKIM/DNS, reputation management) to developing and deploying high-impact campaigns. This includes partnering with brand and campaign leaders to test and craft compelling narratives, designing visually appealing emails, and implementing smart segmentation to reach the right people with the right message. Your expertise will directly contribute to our continued growth by maximizing engagement and driving valuable leads.

A data-centric mindset is crucial, as you will be expected to rigorously test different approaches, analyze campaign performance, and identify actionable insights to continuously optimize our email strategy. This role requires a highly motivated and self-driven individual who can collaborate effectively across Marketing, Sales, and even Product teams to ensure our email communications are aligned with broader business objectives and resonate deeply with our target audience.

Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of the email marketing function at Huntress
  • Ensure optimal email deliverability through proactive reputation management and technical configuration (DKIM/DNS)
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive email marketing strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Develop a data-driven lifecycle segmentation strategy and execute it
  • Ensure the right people in our ICP are getting the right email for the right product at the right time in their buying journey
  • Oversee the creation of engaging and effective email content and design
  • Build and manage sophisticated audience segmentation for targeted communications
  • Execute email campaigns flawlessly and track performance against key metrics
  • Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to optimize email performance
  • Analyze campaign data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and alignment
  • Provide insightful reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement

What You Bring To The Team:

  • 6+ years of experience in progressively strategic Email Marketing roles
  • Demonstrated success in leading strategy for end-to-end email marketing programs
  • Experience building lifecycle strategy across multiple products and ICPs
  • Deep knowledge of email marketing best practices, deliverability factors, and relevant regulations
  • Expertise in email marketing platforms and automation tools like Hubspot, Marketo, etc
  • Strong analytical abilities and a proven track record of data-driven optimization
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • A highly motivated and self-driven attitude with the ability to lead cross-functional teams independently and collaboratively
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a commitment to operational efficiency

What We Offer:

  • 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
  • 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution
  • Life and Disability insurance plans
  • Stock options for all full-time employees
  • One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
  • Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
  • $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
  • Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
