About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to help build and evolve the tech behind Brightfield’s TDX. This is a hands-on, full-stack role where you will work across Java, Go, Python, and React to deliver scalable, high-impact features that directly shape the customer experience.
You’ll be part of a collaborative, fast-moving team focused on designing, building, and shipping features that push TDX forward. We are looking for someone with strong technical judgement who writes clean, reliable code and is comfortable working through complexity.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain full-stack features using Java, React (with Redux), and RESTful services.
- Write clean, testable code and deliver it through code reviews and automated testing.
- Query and manage relational databases (SQL) as part of application development.
- Work in a modern development environment using tools like IntelliJ, Maven, Git, and Jenkins.
- Contribute to a microservices architecture using Docker, Spring, and AWS.
- Collaborate in an agile environment with daily standups, sprints, retrospectives, and pair programing.
- Participate in performance tuning, capacity planning, and system profiling.
- Contribute to cross-functional work that support product improvements across Brightfield’s TDX platform.
Who You Are
- You have 5+ years of experience developing full-stack applications in Java.
- You’ve spent at least a year working with React and Redux in production environments.
- You are comfortable working with RESTful APIs.
- You have 2-3 years of experience with relational databases and know how to write effective SQL queries.
- You’re familiar with performance tuning and have experience working in Mac and Linux environments.
- You write reliable, maintainable code and see unit testing and code reviews as standard practice.
- You work well independently and know how to collaborate with others to get things done.
- You hold a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related technical field.
- Bonus: You have worked with Jersey, Go, or Python.
