Currently, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Document App track, lead the Content Service area, and bring a fresh perspective and experience to a team of strong engineering peers. The Content Services team is at the heart of this mission, building and maintaining the services that power document management, templating, and content operations. The focus is on building a stable, high-quality core capable of handling heavy load and ready for future scale, while balancing user demands and staying one step ahead of their needs.
In this role, you will:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 8–12 engineers, ensuring high engagement and performance.
- Drive the execution and delivery of features and improvements for our Content domain.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to plan and prioritize the roadmap.
- Promote a culture of engineering excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality standards.
- Participate in and lead technical discussions and architecture decisions.
- Hire and onboard new engineers to scale the team.
- Support engineers by getting hands-on when needed, helping to make more informed decisions and earn team trust.
- Guide the team through change, managing resistance, building alignment, and leading through ambiguity and tough situations.
About you:
- Passion for building well-engineered and maintainable systems.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Lead with a team of 8+ engineers for 3+ years.
- Strong background in backend or full-stack development (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js for backend; TypeScript, React for frontend).
- High energy and intrinsic motivation—you get things done even on tough days.
- Skilled in navigating change, handling pushback, and aligning stakeholders during challenging transitions.
- Self-aware, humble, confident, and bold—a leader who inspires trust and momentum.
- Excellent people leadership and communication skills.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Track record of delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with content management systems or document lifecycle platforms.
- Background in SaaS or B2B products.
- Experience managing distributed teams.
