We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to play a key role in the continued development, refinement, and optimization of our business model. This role focuses on analysis and reporting of our financials to executive leaders and the board of directors. In addition, this individual will build models, forecasts, and set and track company goals, among other ad-hoc, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working on either autonomous or collaborative projects, and is disciplined to deliver accurate results, on time. Your Mission:

As part of the Engine team, you’ll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here’s what you’ll take charge of:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Modeling: Build complex financial models from the ground up, with a strong understanding of how the three financial statements connect. 3-statement modeling experience is a major plus.
  • Forecasting Infrastructure: Develop complex forecasting models from scratch, incorporating dynamic linkages to detailed business drivers.
  • Industry & Competitive Analysis: Research, analyze, and summarize industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Systems: Work with enterprise-level financial systems such as NetSuite & Adaptive Insights to support reporting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prioritization & Collaboration: Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with business leaders to align on objectives and execution.

What You’ll Bring to Engine:

  • Experience: 2–5 years in an analytical role requiring Excel model building and financial analysis. Background in corporate FP&A, Big 4 accounting, investment banking, private equity, transaction/valuation advisory, or management consulting is strongly preferred. Experience at fast paced start-up and/or at a digital marketplace a strong plus.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles, with demonstrated strength in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Technical Capabilities: Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word skills. Familiarity with NetSuite or other enterprise financial systems (Adaptive, OneStream, Planful, etc) is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset:Comfortable working with large data sets and solving complex problems. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional and effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
  • Collaboration: Solid team player with strong interpersonal skills—we achieve more as a team
  • Mindset: You’re ready to roll up your sleeves, collaborate, and deliver results that matter.

Cash compensation: The base salary for this role is starting at a $100,000 - $130,000 base. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise.
