⭐️Our Financial Crime & Fraud Collective

We’re all about earning and keeping your trust while making sure we grow safely. The Financial Crime & Fraud Collective plays a big role in this, working hard to protect our community. Our Fraud Senior Managers are responsible for driving this mission, ensuring we keep fraudsters at bay so you can bank with confidence.

🔑 You’ll play a key role by…

As a Senior Fraud Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping to lead our fast-growing Fraud & Disputes Risk Function here at Monzo, where you’ll also work as part of the wider Fraud & Disputes Group Leadership Team - We’re looking for a proactive leader with deep understanding and expertise in fraud risk management and strategy.

You’ll build strong and trusted relationships with our Fraud Product and Operations teams and work collaboratively to help build and embed effective Fraud controls and processes for our customers, whilst creating a positive culture across our Fraud Group. You’ll also play a key part in overseeing initiatives linked to Fraud Risk goals and will ensure that the right people are leading on our overall strategy execution.

You’ll work across different areas and products, including current accounts, business banking and international accounts. You’ll need to be a dab-hand at managing people and programmes, but you’ll need to be ready to get hands-on too.

We need a crack team of crime fighters to help us stay one step ahead as we continue to grow.

🤩We’d love to hear from you if…

  • You have significant experience in leading a highly-effective Risk Team, ideally in a regulated and fast-paced environment.
  • You have deep knowledge of fraud regulations for the UK and/or EU.
  • You have experience prioritising and developing fraud management strategies, using technology to scale and implement these effectively across our operation.
  • You’ve got a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery, and experience in supporting the successful delivery of large change programmes.
  • You’re able to quickly and confidently understand, articulate and respond to emerging trends and risks across the fraud landscape (plugged into latest industry developments).
  • You’ve been able to manage fraud risk(s) within business expectations, and you’re able to collaborate with different business functions to ensure we safely ship new products or services.
  • You’re a great coach and have experience developing high performing teams and individuals to deliver outstanding results.
  • You’re a strong communicator and you’ve able to deliver messages in line with our values.
  • You’re data-driven (able to self-serve) and use technology to solve problems and identify opportunities.
  • You’ve obtained a relevant qualification for this role (e.g. from the ICA, Cifas, ACAMS, CFE).

📍This role can be based in our London office, but we're open to distributed working within the UK (with ad hoc meetings in London)
