Job Description

About the Team

The Account Management Strategy & Operations team is at the forefront of building a world-class sales organization to drive the success of our SMB restaurant partners.. It supports the post-sales team that focuses on accelerating growth and profitability for top SMB restaurants via DoorDash’s core product suite, innovative bets, and operational enhancements. Our Sales Strategy & Operations function is pivotal in crafting data-driven strategies, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring operational excellence — delivering an industry-leading go-to-market (GTM) motion for restaurants, sales teams, and DoorDash.

About the Role

As a Senior Manager of Sales Strategy & Operations at DoorDash, you will play a key role in empowering our sales team to accelerate growth for SMB restaurants. You will lead a team dedicated to increasing sales productivity, refining operational processes, and achieving ambitious growth targets for our SMB Account Management organization.

This role requires a strategic thinker who excels in execution, fosters cross-functional alignment, and possesses a strong ability to drive results efficiently. You will define and implement a sales vision that enables SMB restaurant success, create structured processes that influence sales metrics, and prioritize high-impact initiatives to empower our sales teams. Reporting to the Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, you will collaborate closely with multiple cross-functional teams to scale our restaurant partners’ businesses through sales and operational initiatives.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Lead post-sales strategy for top company priorities. This team sits at the nexus of both scaled initiatives and innovative bets at DoorDash focused on catapulting our restaurant partners’ growth. This role will develop a clear strategic vision for SMB Account Management sales strategy, aligning it with DoorDash's overarching business goals.
  • Build a high-performing sales strategy function. The AM S&O lead will set the strategic vision for the team, crafting the strategy on how to hit targets, and drive operational excellence in reporting cadences, rigorous pipeline tracking, and sales productivity – leading end-to-end ideation to execution through data-driven insights.
  • Partner with our cross-functional teams to expand and elevate our offering. To retain, optimize, and grow SMBs, this role will partner closely with internal DoorDash stakeholders to guide the top priorities for Account Management and ensure our GTM approach across products and initiatives is effective and efficient for sales teams.
  • Look around corners for the team. Whether planning for the next quarter, for the next year with new products, or for several years down with new organizations, this role will be responsible for shepherding our Account Management team into the future.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You’re a high achieving strategy and operations leader with experience driving sales outcomes. You provide strategic leadership to your cross-functional team, ensuring that every aspect of the sales operation is aligned with the overarching business strategy. You have worked with sales teams to build and execute pipeline strategies. You know how to deep dive sales teams’ challenges, both to understand and resolve their pain points at an individual level and to create system-wide solutions. You overindex on driving high efficiency across sales teams and within your team, looking to make every process 1% better. You demonstrate ownership by taking responsibility for the outcomes of your business, adapting to challenges, and ruthlessly prioritizing to meet goals.
  • You’re accustomed to complex and multi-stakeholder environments. This will include Sales for org structure and OKR attainment, Sales Planning for goals and tracking, Analytics for dashboard resources, and internal DoorDash teams for prioritization of top DoorDash bets that the Account Management team drives forth, to name a few. You embody our “one team, one fight” mentality in partnering with teams like Support and product specialists to ensure the overall success of reps and restaurants.
  • You find and lead 0 to 1 opportunities. We are constantly enhancing our products and processes. We are looking for someone who loves to get to the lowest level of detail to find efficiencies in our systems and leads with ownership and a bias for action in implementing solutions.
  • You look for the win win wins. The scale of our ambition is great and we look to our leaders to balance unbridled optimism in finding the wins for our customers, their team, DoorDash and truth-seeking challenger mindset to guide the team towards those wins.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
