About the role
Angi is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to join our growing accounting team. This critical role will be responsible for providing technical accounting expertise, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and supporting the Company's financial reporting process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex accounting issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
What you'll do
- Research and interpret complex accounting guidance (US GAAP, SEC regulations) and apply it to the Company's transactions
- Provide technical accounting support on topics including revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), stock-based compensation (ASC 718), and other complex areas
- Review contracts and agreements to identify and analyze potential accounting implications
- Prepare and review technical accounting memos and policies
- Oversee the accounting for stock-based compensation, including determining expense recognition, reviewing award valuations, and reviewing forfeiture rates
- Review the monthly preparation of the statement of cash flows, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP (ASC 230)
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the financial reporting team to prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules for 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations
- Develop and deliver training on technical accounting topics
- Collaborate with external auditors on accounting matters and ensure timely completion of audits
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal controls
- Experience with complex accounting areas, such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, stock-based compensation, and cash flows
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- The salary band for this position ranges from $115,000 - $200,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
- This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
