Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Senior Manager of User Experience to lead our design team into the next era of AI-driven product development. This strategic leadership role is critical to integrating Artificial Intelligence into our design DNA, dramatically accelerating design-to-code productivity, and fundamentally reshaping the customer experience of our applications. As the Senior Manager of User Experience, you will be at the forefront of defining the future of offensive security, driving unprecedented efficiency, and cultivating a team culture that thrives on cutting-edge approaches to design and is constantly innovating our ways of working.
What You'll Do
- Lead and Inspire: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of UX designers, fostering their growth in AI-driven design practices and empowering them to deliver exceptional work.
- Drive Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a clear strategy for the successful implementation and adoption of AI within the UX and full-stack development partnership. You will be accountable for delivering tangible, shipped results that enhance collaboration, elevate output, and delight our customers.
- Champion Productivity and Efficiency: Spearhead initiatives to achieve significant design-to-code productivity gains across the product development lifecycle by optimizing team structure, processes, and workflows through the strategic application of AI.
- Innovate with Emerging Technologies: Direct the continuous exploration and evaluation of emerging generative design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Lovable, v0) and other AI-powered solutions, making strategic decisions on their integration to elevate the team's design capabilities.
- Foster a Culture of Learning: Actively engage with the broader UX community to stay at the forefront of advancements in AI in design. You will be responsible for bringing industry best practices to the team and establishing our reputation as a leader in the field.
- Collaborate and Influence: Partner with product management, engineering, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and forward-thinking approach to user experience across our entire product platform.

- Exceptional Cross-Functional Collaboration Skills: You have a proven track record of leading the transformation of the end-to-end experience of a comprehensive product platform through effective partnership with other teams.
- Deep, Hands-On AI Expertise: You have extensive, practical experience with generative design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Lovable, v0, etc.) and a strong portfolio showcasing the successful application of these tools to real-world design challenges. You are not just familiar with AI; you are a seasoned practitioner.
- A Portfolio of Impact: Your portfolio demonstrates measurable design-to-code productivity gains and efficiencies achieved through innovative leadership of people, processes, and technology. You have a genuine passion for emerging technologies and AI-native experiences.
- A History of Shipping Successful Products: You can point to shipped products and tangible experiments that clearly illustrate the impactful use of AI in creating a seamless and productive partnership between UX and full-stack development teams.
- A Commitment to Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: You have an insatiable curiosity for continuous learning and a proven history of actively networking with other UX experts to share knowledge, glean insights, and develop your team.
- Location: At this time, we are only considering candidates that are currently located on the US - East Coast. This is critical for facilitating real-time collaboration among team members during core working hours and is also driven by other business necessities.

Pay Range Disclosure
Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($160,000 - $201,000) per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
