Cartwheel
Senior Marketing Manager
Job Description
Join Cartwheel to help tackle the student mental health crisis.
Cartwheel is an early-stage company building a new kind of mental health program for kids that puts schools at the center. We see our role as supporting school staff who see kids every single day. Instead of going around them, we collaborate with them. This means:
- Earlier intervention
- Higher student and family engagement in care
- Better coordination among the trusted adults in a student’s life
Kids shouldn't just aspire to get out of bed and drag themselves to class. They should be able to experience joy. They deserve to envision and build a life they’re excited to live. If you join Cartwheel, you’ll help make this vision a reality for millions of students across the country. We’re backed by top investors including Menlo Ventures, Reach Capital, General Catalyst, BoxGroup, and Able Partners, and we're looking for mission-driven teammates to join our team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in scaling Cartwheel’s marketing function. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you’ll be responsible for product marketing — including product messaging & positioning, product launches/campaigns, and sales enablement — while also supporting content creation for the website, email campaigns, blog posts, social media, and more. You will be a key voice of Cartwheel, supporting the GTM engine, and working cross functionally to drive marketing campaigns, new product launches, and enabling sales to best position our services.
Role type: This is a W2, Full-Time, Salaried position
Location: US Remote with regular in-person company retreats
Start date: March 2025
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Product Marketing
- Shape our core product messaging: Define strategic initiatives and product / feature launch priorities to evolve our market position in the K-12 education space. Messaging will be disseminated via our website, email campaigns, collateral, social media, etc.
- Conduct market research on customer needs, pain points, and competitive positioning
- Collaborate with the Product team to understand product features, value prop, and roadmap
- Develop collateral that builds trust and excitement around our product features among our audiences (administrators, student services leaders, and school counselors)
- Lead product launch strategies, including internal training and external communications
Content Marketing
- Support the development of a comprehensive content strategy aligned with our brand voice and target audience
- Write and disseminate high-quality, engaging content across various formats & mediums (blog, website, social, etc)
- Ensure consistent messaging across all content platforms
Marketing & Sales Enablement:
- Develop and continually refine assets that will improve conversion rates at each stage of the sales funnel (e.g., videos, pitch deck, collateral, website)
- Gather and report on feedback from customers on what parts of our messaging resonates more vs less and how this feedback should impact marketing strategy

- Ambitious. You want to make an impact at Cartwheel and are passionate about youth mental health. You thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic, hyper-growth environment and can operate between a high-level strategy and the micro-details to get things right.
- A team player. You must be able to collaborate across the Marketing team, Thought Leadership team, Sales, and basically every team at Cartwheel. You are able to work with a range of disciplines to execute on your work.
SKILLS YOU’LL BRING
Must have…

- Proven track record in driving measurable growth through marketing strategies.
- You’re comfortable collaborating with partners and stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, and beyond.

Extra credit…
- Marketing experience at a B2B or B2B2C organization in healthcare or K-12 education.
The above is a summary of the role, not an exhaustive list. If you think that you have most of the above but not everything, please apply. We'd love to hear from you.
