As a Senior NetSuite Specialist on a fixed-term contract, your mission is to accelerate the optimization of our NetSuite platform. You'll leverage your deep technical expertise to close system gaps, expedite critical projects, and enhance NetSuite's functionality to better serve our business needs, while also sharing your knowledge to up-skill the wider team.
- Provide both technical and functional NetSuite support, including developing and maintaining scripts and workflows, and collaborating with Finance teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that enhance system efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Manage NetSuite integrations, customisations (records, workflows, reports), and ensure smooth operation through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance stakeholders and the NetSuite system, building strong relationships, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and applying finance/accounting principles to optimize configurations.
- Contribute to the financial systems roadmap, providing input, supporting delivery, and driving process improvements.
- Drive evidence-based decisions, coach peers, and champion best practices within the team.
- Ensure quality control, change management, and thorough documentation across all NetSuite processes and developments, including process flows, functional specifications, and training materials.
- Work closely with your People Lead to set expectations for delivery, based on best understanding estimations and fostering a culture of collective ownership and accountability for the work completed within the team
- Independently resolve complex system issues, collaborating with vendors and support teams as needed.
- Participating in new finance system implementations & projects with a key focus on our ERP
- Collaborating with peers as a coach where needed, enabling them to work more independently while allowing you to further develop your coaching attributes, and to assist those around you as the ERP SME
- 7+ years of combined experience in ERP administration, configuration, and development (e.g., creating and implementing workflows, scripts, saved searches, integrations - with a strong preference for NetSuite) and hands-on experience in business requirements gathering and solution delivery as a System Accountant or System Analyst within FMIS administration.
- Accounting knowledge or experience is advantageous
- Experience with drafting and delivering documentation related to cloud and/or bespoke deliverables and customers - this includes business cases, solution documents and technical/functional specifications
- Proficient in SuiteScripts 2.0, SuiteFlow, map/reduce, and associated web technologies.
- Previous experience where you have acted as an escalation point would be beneficial
- Previous experience with system implementation where you were a key contributor will be beneficial
- Expert verbal and written communicator.
- Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Being able to provide feedback and technical mentorship to the team, encouraging best practices along with knowledge sharing
- Interaction with seniors and executives with an exceptional can-do attitude, as well as the ability to multitask under increased deadlines
