Job Description
For millions of teams working in dozens of industries, day-to-day business gets done on the phone. So why — despite the huge leaps we've taken in design and usability — does most business phone software still look, feel, and act like it was born in the 90s? OpenPhone is changing that.
We’re a new type of business phone with a mission to help people communicate better and be more productive.
We’re backed by Y Combinator and some of the best venture firms around including Tiger Global, Craft Ventures, Slow Ventures, and others. We take pride in providing an exceptional customer experience and a product people love, which is why we’re excited that our customers have rated us the #1 VoIP Provider on G2.
OpenPhone is the modern, sophisticated answer to the clunky, outdated phone systems that have been slowing down businesses for years. With thousands of happy customers and several rounds of funding in just five years, it's safe to say we're onto something big.
About the Role
We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Offline Media Manager to lead and scale our offline acquisition efforts across channels like audio, CTV, OOH, and direct mail. In this role, you’ll play a crucial role in the strategy, execution, and performance of our offline media programs—helping us reach new audiences, build brand awareness, and drive high-quality leads. You’ll partner closely with Growth Marketing, Creative, Content, Product Marketing, and external vendors to bring campaigns to life, optimize performance, and test into new channels to accelerate growth. If you’re energized by moving fast, blending creativity with data, and want to help us build new ways to reach and connect with our customers, we’d love to meet you.
Some of the things you’ll do:
- Own the planning, execution, and optimization of offline media campaigns across audio (e.g., podcasts, streaming), CTV, OOH, direct mail, etc.
- Manage relationships with media vendors and negotiate placements, rates, and value-adds to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Monitor spend and performance daily/weekly, analyzing key metrics like reach, frequency, CPM, CPA, and ROI to inform optimizations.
- Partner with creative teams to develop messaging tailored to target audience for offline formats; brief and test creative variations, and drive learning agenda to improve performance.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Content, and Revenue teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with GTM strategy and messaging.
- Test into new offline formats and publishers—bringing a test-and-learn mindset to uncover scalable growth levers.
- Oversee campaign timelines, asset delivery, tracking implementation, and legal/disclosure compliance across all offline channels.
- Work closely with data team and marketing operations to ensure accurate tracking and measurement of activities.
About you:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in offline media channels (audio, OOH, CTV, linear TV, print, direct mail, etc.), including hands-on experience negotiating and optimizing campaigns, ideally with a focus on B2B or SaaS
- Proven track record of building and executing experimentation plans, including creative testing
- Experience negotiating with publishers, networks, and media vendors to secure favorable rates and placements
- Experience leading media agencies on campaign strategy and execution
- Proven ability to align offline media strategies with broader GTM and growth marketing initiatives
- Strong project management skills and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives from concept to execution
- Comfort working in fast-paced, test-and-learn environments with evolving budgets and goals
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Experience with advanced measurement and analytics, including brand lift, incrementality, and media mix modeling is a plus

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
