Job Description

We’re seeking a product designer passionate about crafting exceptional experiences and shaping the future of next-level financial products. In our fast-paced, client-focused environment, you’ll collaborate with engineering, product management, marketing, and other teams to create marketing materials, enhance products, develop new features, and shape our product strategy. Your goal: make River’s products intuitive and accessible, simplifying Bitcoin for our clients.

River is growing quickly and has raised more than $50 million from leading investors, including; Goldcrest, Kingsway, Polychain, M13, DG, and Valor.

What you will be doing

  • You will collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional teams

  • Design new products, build additional features and craft new experiences across our product lines, while balancing considerations for the business objective, client problems, and River’s brand

  • Manage and prioritize your workload across multiple focus areas and projects with different collaborators

  • Contribute to the strategy, planning, and execution of the product roadmap

  • Sometimes work on exploratory projects that level up our design and other times work on smaller narrowly defined tactical features

  • Consider all parts when crafting the experience: from copy to animation to business impact

Contribute to and level up our design systems across our marketing website, web, and mobile applications

What we look for in you

  • 4+ years of relevant experience working with product and engineering teams

  • A portfolio that shows work you were directly responsible for designing

  • You can take ambiguous problem spaces and shape them into clear and elegant solutions through prototyping and detailed interaction designs

  • Experience working collaboratively as a primary contributor on projects with cross-functional teams to rapidly iterate on ideas and prototypes

  • The ability to create, curate, and vet product and project ideas that contribute to roadmaps/strategy with your teammates

  • A desire to strive for excellence in your work until all details are attended to

  • The ability to explain your work, process, and decisions and seek feedback to help you produce your best work

  • You are a Figma wizard and can create beautiful and organized design files.

Nice to haves

  • You are knowledgeable about and interested in Bitcoin and contributing to the ecosystem

  • You have experience designing financial products

  • Illustration and/or animation skill-set

  • Experience participating in or leading user research sessions

Salary and benefits

  • Salary range is $140,000 - $200,000 dependent on level and experience
