About the Role:
Help us reinvent how fleets turn data into action. As the Senior Product Designer for Motive Analytics, you’ll be the design lead for our next-generation reporting and analytics suite. You’ll partner with product, data, and engineering teams to translate complex business questions into intuitive, high-performance dashboards and self-serve tools that empower customers of every technical level.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the analytics UX end-to-end – from problem framing and research through polished UI and QA.
- Deep-dive into customer workflows (enterprise reporting, compliance, cost optimization, safety) to surface the highest-impact use-cases.
- Design customizable reports & dashboards that balance power and simplicity—drag-and-drop building, flexible filters, and shareable views.
- Champion performance & scalability by collaborating with data-engineering on query efficiency, load-state patterns, and graceful error handling.
- Prototype and validate data-visualization concepts quickly, using real or representative data whenever possible.
- Ship, measure, iterate. Set success metrics, listen to quantitative / qualitative feedback, and refine for continual improvement.
- Contribute to our design system with analytics-specific components and visualization guidelines.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years designing complex web products; at least 2 in data-heavy or analytics domains
- A portfolio that shows elegant solutions to gnarly information-architecture and data-visualization problems
- Fluency with BI/analytics paradigms (e.g., ThoughtSpot, Looker, Tableau) and the trade-offs between power and usability
- Expertise in interaction, interface, and visual design; able to move from low-fi flows to polished prototypes swiftly
- Proven ability to drive alignment across product, engineering, and data stakeholders through crisp storytelling and documentation
- Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous spaces and turning complexity into clarity
- Bonus: knowledge of accessibility standards for data viz, or experience designing for performance-constrained environments
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units.
