About the Role
As a Senior Product Manager for Fleet Management, you'll lead the vision and execution for how customers manage large-scale drone deployments, ensuring visibility, fleet health, and compliance across distributed operations. You’ll work across cloud services, APIs, and UX to create seamless, powerful tools for managing autonomous systems at scale.
Location
This position is based onsite 5 days/week at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. We offer relocation assistance if needed.
How you'll make an impact:
- Own and evolve the roadmap for Skydio’s Fleet Management capabilities spanning device observability and health monitoring, troubleshooting and support tooling, and general customer organization administration (user, data, settings, and integration management)
- Drive feature definition and prioritization in close collaboration with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams
- Wireframe and validate UX flows that make complex workflows simple and actionable
- Contribute to discussions on backend data models, system architecture, and API design with engineering
- Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems to develop and iterate user personas and their use case-specific requirements.
- Communicate plans and progress clearly across stakeholders; follow through to launch and adoption
- Collaborate with marketing, support, and customer success to deliver impactful product releases
What would make you a strong fit:
- 2–5+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including specific experience leading development of compelling user-facing software for complex, electronic hardware products. Drone experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work autonomously with exceptional attention to detail and execution
Experience wireframing and collaborating closely with UX design - Familiarity with data modeling and API-driven architectures; able to reason about systems at scale
- Strong technical fluency and ability to work effectively across autonomy, firmware, and cloud engineering teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep curiosity and empathy for users managing real-world, operational complexity. Excitement to travel to customer sites and engage with end-users to gain a deep understanding of real problems and how Skydio can best solve them.
Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000*. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans.
