Right now, we are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our team!
About your role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will contribute directly to ensuring the performance and reliability of complex systems through automated and manual testing strategies. You’ll work closely with engineers and QA leads, leveraging your experience with tools like curl, Java-based automation, and performance testing platforms.
This position emphasizes flexibility across testing technologies and environments, including SAP Commerce Cloud, API-driven testing, and UI automation. You will help evolve the testing approach by contributing high-quality test code, debugging web applications, and developing testing suites aligned with product architecture.
Responsibilities
- Independently execute command-line requests using tools like curl or get
- Debug how web pages function, including network calls and payload inspection
- Design and implement automated test suites with attention to performance and parallelism
- Explain key testing concepts such as user pools, concurrent data modification, and parallel testing
- Diagnose platform issues and write detailed, reproducible bug reports
- Collaborate closely with other QA engineers and technical leads in test strategy discussions
- Adapt between API and UI-based testing as needed, based on project scope
- Contribute to improved automation in SAP Commerce Cloud testing areas
What will help you succeed
Must have:
- Solid experience in QA automation and manual testing as an individual contributor
- Strong understanding of networking principles and HTTP protocols
- Ability to read Java code and ideally write it for test development
- Clear understanding of REST vs RPC architectures, HTTP verbs, and content types
- Experience with performance testing using tools like Locust or Azure Load Testing
- Comfort using CI/CD workflows in Agile environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and working with partner integrations
- Experience with Katalon Studio or other UI-based automation tools
- Familiarity with lightweight GraphQL and REST APIs
- Ability to participate in philosophical discussions about test strategy and automation direction
- Experience with test design that aligns closely with development code
