About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our development team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, with a particular focus on Typescript and API-first development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing and development, with bonus points for experience with SaaS products.
Join us in building a novel service catalog with secure, scalable, and reliable APIs.
- You will be an integral part of our Service Catalog team, working closely with developers to contribute to pull requests, understand new features, and proactively address inefficiencies.
- You should be capable of understanding new feature code when documentation is incomplete, engaging with team members in public channels to ask clarifying questions, and being self-motivated to identify and resolve inefficiencies as they arise.
- You will design and implement solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity.
- Support those services in production by participating in an on-call rotation.
- Write automated tests to ensure the behaviour of code and avoid regressions.
- And any additional tasks required by your manager.
- 5+ years working in a team to develop, deliver, and maintain complex software solutions.
- Expertise in Typescript and Javascript, with bonus points for experience with Vue.
- Experience developing and supporting a large-scale SaaS platform.
- Understanding of and development with git and GitHub workflows.
- Functional testing experience, including defining test strategy, test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Solid understanding of various Test Frameworks and Automation of frontend and backend systems - such as Cypress and Playwright.
- Ability to prioritize test activities and testing tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
