Join Vultr

Our Engineering team is a central pillar of our growth strategy, and we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in PHP who can help us design and implement critical Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, including SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management), for our multi-user portal. You will help lead efforts to ensure secure and streamlined identity provisioning, authentication, and authorization mechanisms, while collaborating closely with both internal and external teams. This is a high-impact role that will shape the future of our platform’s security and user management.

What to expect:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale IAM and SCIM solutions for our PHP-based web portal.
  • Collaborate with our Engineering teams to research and develop new features, address technical debt, and continuously improve performance.
  • Lead efforts to enhance observability, increase automation, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deploy new features with a focus on security and reliability.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Expertise with PHP (5+ years preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience building and integrating IAM or SCIM solutions.
  • Solid foundation in Linux and/or BSD environments.
  • A commitment to thorough documentation as a core aspect of engineering.
  • Experience working with and resolving technical debt.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Experience developing custom APIs (highly preferred).
  • Exposure to config management tools like Puppet or Ansible is a plus.
  • Comfort working with Windows environments is beneficial but not required.

Compensation

$110,000 - $120,000 + bonus

This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
