Senior Software Engineer, Growth
Job Description
The Growth team is responsible for driving user acquisition, monetization, activation, and retention. We leverage data-driven strategies and innovative technologies to optimize the user journey and achieve significant growth. Our focus is on enhancing user engagement and maximizing business impact.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic Growth team and play a key role in shaping our growth initiatives. If you're passionate about creating impact at the intersection of technology and business growth, this is the opportunity for you.
What you’ll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and services to power growth strategies, with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Work closely with our Design, Product, and Analytics teams to move projects from conception to launch.
- A/B test new features, analyze their results, and release improvements iteratively.
- Write clean, well-tested, and performant library and product code for our frontend and backend platforms.
- Support and nurture the technical development of colleagues on the team.
Skills and knowledge you should possess:
- Expert proficiency in using modern technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Next, Typescript).
- Proficient in building and deploying full-stack web applications with a focus on clean code, robust architecture, and scalability.
- Solid experience in backend development using one or more server-side languages (PHP, NodeJs, Python). Experience with PHP is a plus.
- An intimate knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server) and data modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, process, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making and optimization, particularly in the context of A/B testing.
- Skilled in fostering constructive and productive collaboration with technical and non-technical teams, demonstrating respect and effectiveness.
- Great planning skills, able to break down large projects into milestones and identify risks and dependencies.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to projects focused on user acquisition, monetization, activation, or retention is highly preferred.
Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $150,000 - $207,000
- All other US cities outside above metro areas: $135,000 - $186,300
