About the Role
We’re looking to hire a Senior Solutions Architect to join the go-to-market team in Singapore. As a Sr Solutions Architect, you will lead the evaluation, implementation, and adoption of dbt Cloud for our largest enterprise & commercial customers. Candidates must be based in Singapore.
What You’ll Do
- Work with customers throughout their dbt Cloud journey — from discovery, demos, and evaluations to product adoption and expansion
- Become an expert in (a) designing enterprise-grade data pipelines in dbt Cloud, and (b) articulating the business value dbt Cloud delivers to customers
- Collaborate with customer contacts to secure architecture and security approvals for dbt Cloud
- Partner across departments to grow the dbt ecosystem and support the go-to-market motion (e.g., present at marketing events, enable partners, collaborate with Customer Support and Professional Services)
- Act as the voice of the customer internally (e.g., surfacing feedback or influencing the product roadmap)
- Closely align with strategic partners (e.g., data platform providers or consulting firms)
- Travel up to ~25% of the time (to meet prospects/customers in person and attend team offsites/kickoffs)
- Be an active member of the dbt community (e.g., publish blogs, attend dbt meetups, etc.)
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations, analytics, or BI
- A solid technical background, with experience in SQL, ETL, and data modelling
- A firm understanding of and ability to discuss modern data warehousing architectures
- Ability to gather and translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills to discuss complex topics with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
- A passion for being an inclusive teammate and involved member of the community
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Prior experience working at an analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software company
- Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
- Experience with Dimensional Modelling
- Experience with traditional Enterprise ETL tooling (Informatica, Boomi, Talend, WhereScape)
