As a Senior Staff Engineer on the Agent Foundry team, you’ll be at the forefront of Ridgeline’s AI revolution—applying generative AI to build reusable, scalable agents that deliver tangible value across the investment management lifecycle. This hands-on, high-impact role blends deep product knowledge, architectural leadership, and AI-forward thinking to drive end-to-end solutions that matter. You’ll work across the entire stack, partner with product and platform teams, and iterate quickly from concept to customer-facing capabilities. We use cutting-edge technologies, including AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and ChatGPT, to accelerate delivery and amplify impact.
What will you do?
- Lead architecture and implementation of complex full-stack systems that power intelligent agents
- Collaborate with Product, CX, and the AI Platform team to rapidly scope, prototype, and launch agents
- Design and build reusable patterns, frameworks, and abstractions for agent development
- Integrate AI models and services with Ridgeline’s unified data model and platform APIs
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable within Ridgeline’s architecture
- Partner with Product squads to ensure smooth handoff, adoption, and long-term success of agents
- Contribute to Ridgeline’s internal best practices for generative AI
- Mentor engineers and drive engineering excellence across the Foundry and beyond
- Evaluate and apply generative AI advances, weighing tradeoffs of performance, reliability, and cost
Desired Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant full stack development
- Experience leading and delivering end-to-end features in cloud-native production systems
- Deep knowledge of modern front-end and back-end technologies (React, Kotlin, Java, TypeScript, or similar)
- Strong understanding of LLMs and AI-driven architectures, including RAG and agent frameworks
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, structured output generation, and AI integration patterns
- Expertise with RESTful API design, scalable data workflows, and security best practices
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical ideas clearly
- Passion for clean code, iterative development, and measurable outcomes
- Experience with Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar generative AI development tools
Bonus
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Background in asset management, fintech, or regulated software environments
- Contributions to open-source AI or developer tools
- Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and production debugging in AI systems

Compensation and Benefits
The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.
The typical starting salary range for this role is: $200,000-$235,000.
The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is: $212,500-$250,000.
Final compensation amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amount listed above.
