About this role:

Ironclad is transforming the contract drafting and negotiation process—enabling seamless collaboration, structured data tracking, and intuitive tools that empower non-legal teams to handle simple negotiations with confidence. By reducing legal bottlenecks, we help businesses close complex agreements faster while generating actionable data that fuels better decision-making.

We’re looking for a visionary Senior Staff Product Manager to define the future of contract negotiation and set the industry standard for Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM). This role requires a strategic thinker and executional powerhouse who can seamlessly navigate between high-level business strategy and technical execution.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the future of Ironclad’s negotiation and document platforms, leveraging AI to drive superior customer and business outcomes.

  • Become the go-to industry expert on contract collaboration, editing, versioning, and review.

  • Make bold, strategic trade-offs that go beyond replicating existing solutions—Word has a 40-year head start on document editing; true innovation requires a smarter approach.

  • Deeply understand our users—often better than they understand themselves—through continuous research and feedback loops.

  • Partner closely with design and engineering to push the boundaries of simplicity and extensibility, both in the UI and under the hood.

  • Define and analyze key metrics that inform product prioritization, ensuring that every decision delivers measurable impact.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with a track record of delivering high-impact products.

  • Recognized as a collaborative and influential leader, capable of shaping strategy and driving impact beyond the scope of their program team(s)

  • Exceptional product sense and strategic thinking, with a knack for untangling complex systems.

  • Proven ability to take ambiguous problems from inception to successful product launch.

  • Experience defining and driving business-level strategy that aligns with company objectives.

  • Relentless curiosity and passion for understanding end users and their workflows.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to distill insights into action.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building collaborative editing and document tools.

  • Experience developing AI-powered products that enhance user experience and efficiency.

Base Salary Range: $215,000 - $240,000

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.
