Job Description
We’re looking for a freelance Senior Strategist to support a fast-moving project within our Strategy &
Research practice. This role focuses on uncovering the third-party voices, platforms, and partner
opportunities that shape perception and influence decisions within a complex B2B category.
What you’ll work on:
This project focuses on identifying high-impact information sources and translating that intelligence into
actionable strategies for partnership, outreach, and content alignment.
Key focus areas will include:
• Discover who’s shaping the conversation and driving influence
• Analyze reach, audience, and content focus
• Assess brand visibility and identify gaps
• Benchmark competitor presence and tactics
• Deliver actionable strategic recommendations
Using a mix of desk research and tools like Sprinklr, GWI, Helixa, and SparkToro, you’ll help turn these
focus areas into clear, insight-led outputs -- including influencer maps, strategic recommendations, and
competitor analysis -- all aimed at elevating brand visibility and positioning.
What you’ll be doing:
• Leading a defined strategy workstream within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team made up of
researchers, strategists, and client leads
• Investigating how influence flows across expert networks, media platforms, and thought
leadership ecosystems
• Analyzing and synthesizing complex digital footprints into strategic narratives
• Contributing directly to high-stakes client deliverables with meaningful business impact
• Translating complex data into clear, usable deliverables: influencer maps, insights, and strategies.
We’d like you to have:
• 8+ years of experience in brand, comms, or research strategy (agency or consulting preferred)
• Comfort working in B2B or complex industries such as tech, finance, or enterprise services
• Strong experience in desk research and analyzing large volumes of qualitative and quantitative
input
• Working knowledge of social listening and insight tools (e.g., GWI, Sprinklr, SparkToro).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills -- written and verbal
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and collaborate across remote teams
What you bring:
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to distill complexity into clear narratives
• Expertise in synthesizing research findings into strategic insights and recommendations
• Proficiency in stakeholder research, media audits, and competitor analysis
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple streams of work on tight timelines
• Familiarity with social listening, audience intelligence, and media insight platforms
• Strategic thinking with a strong bias toward action and clarity
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and shaping structure from open-ended briefs

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
