About the job
As an individual contributor on the Talent Research & Intelligence (TR&I) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Twilio’s global talent strategy. The Talent Acquisition Team is a critical partner to the business and our TR&I team provides crucial insights on labor market trends, talent pools and competitive intelligence that impacts our current and future workforce plans. You will be a trusted advisor to the business and key stakeholders across the People organization allowing them to strategically build and leverage global workforce plans, anticipate market trends, optimally engage talent, and efficiently go to market across geographies and functions. Team members act as consultative partners, using internal and external talent market insights to inform decision-making, candidate engagement, and long-term workforce strategy across functions and regions.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Own research deliverables from inception to delivery, including stakeholder engagement, alignment with Talent and Twilio priorities, research analysis and effective communication of findings.
- Provide competitive talent insights to senior TA, HR and business leaders critical to our talent strategies and workforce planning.
- Proactively partner to deliver insights in anticipation of business needs and priorities that will help Twilio respond to changing market trends.
- Use a variety of research tools and approaches to drive and deliver research across multiple markets and functions.
- Build and activate strategic talent communities to enhance the impact of talent strategies for priority roles and/or locations.
- Collaborate with teammates to identify the simplest, most effective solutions to stakeholder challenges.
- Act as subject matter expert on labor markets, industry trends, and associated research methodologies.

Required:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 6-8+ years of professional experience in research, analytics, consulting, or finance.
- Technical Expertise: Mastery of analytical tools such as Sheets, Excel, Draup, Pitchbook, and LTI. Skilled in automating workflows, building insightful dashboards, and seamlessly integrating multiple data sources to deliver impactful analyses.
- Systems Thinker: Ability to connect the dots across the talent ecosystem and anticipate the ripple effects of talent trends. Experienced in synthesizing data from diverse platforms—including Draup, Pitchbook, and LinkedIn—using automated approaches to inform strategy and research.
- Insightful Storytelling & Influence: Adept at translating complex research findings into clear, actionable insights and tailored recommendations. Confident presenter who adapts messaging to a variety of audiences, driving meaningful discussions and informed decisions with compelling, templatized deliverables.
- Collaborative Stakeholder Partner: Proactive, thoughtful, and rigorous partner to cross-functional teams within the People Organization and to business executives. Proven ability to engage senior leaders, build strong relationships, and deliver market intelligence that proactively addresses evolving business needs.
- Curiosity: Naturally curious and motivated to ask the necessary questions that deepen understanding of business challenges and potential solutions, leveraging data to uncover critical insights.
- Analytical Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced project management capabilities. Connects people and ideas to drive innovative outcomes and displays strong intellectual curiosity and agility.

- Analytical Tool Proficiency: Experience using LinkedIn Talent Insights, Draup, and Pitchbook.
- Business Acumen: Ability to see the big picture, making meaningful connections that propel organizational goals forward.
- Senior Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated experience building relationships with, and delivering presentations to, VP-level and above audiences.
Location
This role will be remote US, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, approximately 5-10% travel is anticipated to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

Compensation
*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $126,000.00 - $157,500.00
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $133,400 - $166,700
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $148,200 - $185,200
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
