ServiceNow Developer

Location: Remote (U.S.) — up to 25 % travel to Battle Creek, MI
Client: DLA
Clearance: IT-II (Secret or above preferred)
Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 (depending on experience)
Period of Performance: 1 August 2025 – 31 December 2025 (full-time, 40 hrs/week)

Who we are looking for

We’re seeking a ServiceNow Developer to join an Agile delivery team modernizing HR Service Delivery (HRSD) and Employee Center Pro for a DoD organization. You’ll work remotely while traveling quarterly to Battle Creek, MI for PI planning, stakeholder demos, and production cut-overs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on ServiceNow expertise, an active Public-Trust clearance, and a commitment to secure, user-centric solutions.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Configure and customize HRSD, Employee Center Pro, catalog items, flows, and ACLs in ServiceNow.

  • Analyze user stories, estimate effort, and define acceptance criteria in a cross-functional Agile squad.

  • Develop Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and ATF tests; ensure code quality through peer reviews.

  • Present sprint demos to senior stakeholders and incorporate feedback into future iterations.

  • Troubleshoot defects, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes that meet security and performance standards.

  • Produce technical documentation, knowledge articles, and user-training materials.

  • Safeguard the platform’s security posture, adhering to DoD and RMF best practices while supporting ATO activities.

What we’d like to see on your résumé

  • Active ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)required

  • 2 + years of hands-on ServiceNow development (catalog, scripting, Flow Designer, HRSD).

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and presenting progress to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong JavaScript skills and familiarity with ServiceNow Studio, Update Sets, and ATF.

Bonus if you have

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

  • Direct experience with HR Service Delivery or Employee Center Pro modules.

  • Knowledge of unit-testing frameworks, DevOps pipelines, or automated CI/CD in ServiceNow.

  • Prior work on DoD, VA, or DHS ServiceNow implementations.

Required Qualifications

  • Active IT-II (or higher) that is fully transferable at time of hire.

  • U.S. citizenship (government contract requirement).

  • Ability to travel up to 25 % to Battle Creek, MI throughout the Period of Performance.
