Job Description:
We are seeking a Snowflake Data Analyst (Remote-Fractional) with strong SQL and ETL expertise to design, manage, and optimize our Snowflake environment. This role will play a critical part in enabling secure, accurate, and business-aligned data access across the client and downstream systems. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of Snowflake platform skills, ETL integration experience, and business collaboration to support data-driven decision-making.
This is a contract, hourly role—perfect for experienced professionals who enjoy fast-paced, high-impact work and want the flexibility to engage in meaningful, cutting-edge client initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Snowflake Development & Management
- Create and manage tables, views, secure views, and schemas within Snowflake.
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) and least-privilege data access patterns.
- Design and maintain data models (e.g., star and snowflake schemas) to support reporting and analytics use cases.
ETL & Data Integration
- Build and manage ETL processes using FiveTran (preferred) or Boomi.
- Configure and maintain connectors for moving data between Snowflake and external systems
- Develop ETL logic for transformations, error handling, schema drift, and incremental data loads.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across syncs and integrations.
Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Partner with the client's teams to translate business rules (deduplication, funnel stages, attribution, KPIs) into Snowflake views.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture (EA) and downstream tool owners to ensure integration, governance, and security compliance.
- Document technical workflows, permissions, and integration details for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support QA and governance processes to maintain high data quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or BI roles with a focus on Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL proficiency for Snowflake (DDL, DML, views, secure views, schemas).
- Strong experience with Snowflake security and RBAC.
- Demonstrated ability in data modeling and schema design (star/snowflake schemas).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (FiveTran preferred; Boomi a plus).
- Strong understanding of data governance, QA, and documentation practices.
- Excellent collaboration skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
