Software Engineer II – Northern Ireland

About this Position

Join a team that's shaping the future of cloud-native SaaS products. We leverage modern AWS technologies, follow industry-leading engineering practices, and embed engineering excellence at the heart of how we build — with AWS Well-Architected Reviews as a core pillar of our process.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and build scalable, resilient, and cloud-native solutions using the latest AWS services and modern frameworks.

  • Contribute across the full stack — from elegant UI components to robust APIs and cloud infrastructure — using tools like TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS-native services.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to shape product direction and deliver high-impact features.

  • Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, continuous integration, and participation in regular Well-Architected Reviews to ensure security, performance, and reliability.

  • Advocate for agile best practices, DevOps culture, and continuous improvement.

  • Rapidly prototype ideas to validate solutions, and turn them into production-grade features that scale.

  • Play an active role in evolving our tech stack and improving the developer experience across the platform.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience building SaaS or enterprise software in collaborative, distributed teams.

  • Strong full-stack development experience using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (React, Node.js) and REST/GraphQL APIs.

  • Solid understanding of cloud-native application development and modern AWS services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, etc.).

  • Passion for engineering quality and architecture — experience with or openness to AWS Well-Architected Framework is a big plus.

  • Bonus: Experience working in startup or high-growth environments, where adaptability and initiative are key.

We're building systems that are modern, maintainable, and scalable — with cloud-first thinking and engineering excellence at the center of everything we do. If you're excited about delivering real customer impact through high-quality software in a world-class cloud platform, we’d love to hear from you.

We will consider for employment all qualified applicants who meet the inherent requirements for the position. Please note that background checks are required, and this may include criminal record checks.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
