Our team is at the forefront of developing an interactive simulator for autonomous vehicles, leveraging cutting-edge technologies like gaussian splatting, foundation models, agentic AI, and so on. We are seeking a highly creative and driven engineer to pioneer the development of a next-generation simulation environment. If you are passionate about innovation and want to work on groundbreaking technology that will redefine the future of transportation, we encourage you to apply.

In this role, you will

  • Spearhead the design, implementation, and optimization of a real-time 3D simulator.
  • Develop and integrate novel deep learning algorithms to enhance the realism and capabilities of the simulator.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our system reliability and maturity in a production environment.
  • Drive the research and prototyping of new ideas in neural rendering and simulation, contributing to our intellectual property portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including machine learning researchers, software engineers, and system architects, to translate ambiguous requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Champion a "safety-first" mindset throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept to production, including formal validation and verification processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of self-motivated, customer-oriented innovation, which may include patents, research papers, or cutting-edge work experience.
  • History of owning the full product lifecycle - from prototype to production.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
  • Experience with 3D graphics and rendering pipelines.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with Gaussian Splatting, Structure from Motion (SfM), NeRFs (Neural Radiance Fields), and frameworks like Nerfstudio.
  • Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Experience with camera models, ray marching, and physically based rendering (PBR) techniques.
  • Familiarity with applying diffusion models and other generative AI tools to image and 3D data.
  • Experience building and maintaining services in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and working with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Background in scaling geospatial data pipelines.
  • Experience integrating software components into robotic or autonomous vehicle

The base salary range for this position is $146K-$234K Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
