The Role
Nabis is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Brand Payments Associate (contract position) to join our Finance team. This role plays a critical part in managing key processes within the Brand Payments function and acts as the first point of contact for Brand Payments Associates. The Senior Associate will provide guidance, resolve escalated issues, and drive operational excellence through ownership of remittance workflows, inquiry management, and payment reconciliation.
This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and the Brand Payments Team Lead to support special projects, system enhancements, and continuous process improvements. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for Brand Payments Associates, escalating issues to the Team Lead as appropriate.
- Reconcile and analyze retailer payments due to brands, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Manage Zendesk tickets by responding to brand inquiries promptly and accurately.
- Support day-to-day operations, including:
- Verifying the status of orders, invoices, and payments
- Processing fee adjustment requests and conducting research with both internal and external partners
- Creating and maintaining files for brand order analysis
- Participate in and occasionally lead calls with brand partners.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead on special projects, process enhancements, and system improvements.
- Conduct first-level quality reviews of team members' work before escalating to the Team Lead.
- Assist with onboarding and training of new team members; contribute to maintaining and updating SOPs.
- Stay adaptable and open to learning new tools and systems as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• 2–3 years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or a related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in payment and reconciliation processes
• Proficiency in financial systems; experience with QuickBooks is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team
• Demonstrated adaptability and eagerness to learn new tools and processes
