Job Summary

The Sr. Compensation Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the design, analysis, implementation, and administration of compensation programs across the organization. This role ensures internal equity, external competitiveness, and compliance with all applicable regulations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen to provide insights and recommendations that support talent attraction, retention, and motivation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze market data and internal compensation trends to support the development of salary structures, job evaluations, and pay decisions.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and benchmark jobs across departments and geographies.
  • Strong understanding of equity for analysis, reporting, and general administration items.
  • Maintain and update compensation structures, pay ranges, and job classifications.
  • Conduct job analysis and evaluations to ensure roles are properly leveled and aligned to compensation philosophy.
  • Assist in the annual compensation review process (merit increases, bonus planning, equity grants).
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition on compensation for offers and internal adjustments.
  • Monitor compensation compliance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., FLSA, pay transparency).
  • Support the development of compensation policies, tools, and communication materials.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and HR stakeholders on compensation-related projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor compensation trends and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compensation analysis or a related HR/analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills (e.g., pivot tables, V-lookups, modeling).
  • Experience with Carta (and/or other equity administration and tracking systems).
  • Experience with GoogleSuite, particularly Google Sheets
  • Experience with Power BI
  • Familiarity with compensation concepts, job leveling, and market pricing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with compensation survey tools (e.g., Radford, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson).
  • Proficiency with Oracle HCM.
  • Experience supporting both salaried and hourly compensation programs.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress toward certification.
  • Knowledge of equity compensation.
  • Knowledge of global compensation.
  • Experience with M&A

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is:
$105,000$125,000 USD
