Sr. Data Analyst
Job Description

We are looking for an experienced data analyst to support Vimeo’s growth team. The right person will have a strong analytical background with equal parts technical and communication skills. They will have previously worked in product analytics or data science with a focus on data-informed results.
What you'll do:
- Drive and lead strategic, cross-functional initiatives in order to enable data standardization, increase data consumption and boost data-driven decision making.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with stakeholders to plan, develop, and analyze AB tests.
- Build and maintain user-friendly and informative dashboards, reports, and presentations in order to enable day-to-day and strategic data-driven decision making.
- Perform advanced analytical deep dives to help stakeholders drill down into why they see certain outcomes.
- Foster a relationship of trust and cooperation with the stakeholders, creating an atmosphere of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Skills you will need :
- 5+ years of experience with SQL is a must.
- 5+ years of experience with Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables, keyboard shortcuts, etc.)
- Extensive experience in planning and analyzing AB test results
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI or similar).
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business, Economics, Statistics or Computer Science) and 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role (preferably in a SaaS business.)
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and solving business challenges.
- A sense of ownership - capable of independently initiating and driving projects from beginning to end.
- Comfortable communicating with senior executives.
- A team player who enjoys working cross-functionally.
- You truly believe that "getting it right" is just as important as "getting it done".
- Proficient in interpreting complex datasets, extracting valuable insights for informed decision-making. Skilled in identifying patterns and translating business questions into effective analytical solutions. Demonstrates a problem-solving mindset and stays current with evolving data analysis methodologies.
Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):
- Experience with DBT and data modeling frameworks
- Experience in documentation and version control via Github, Atlan, and/or Confluence
- Experience with R or Python
Base Salary Range:
- NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles: $118,000 - $162,250
- All other US cities outside above metro areas: $106,200 - $146,025
