Job Description

Description

About Reserv

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike.

We have ambitious (but attainable!) goals and need adjusters who can work in an evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and the prospect of tackling the long-standing challenges of the claims role sounds exciting, we can’t wait to meet you.

About the role

As a senior analyst in a well-funded Series B stage start-up, you will be defining our growth potential for years to come. You will be an integral part of Reserv’s data team, working with our customers to deliver high fidelity data and insights.

For this role, we are seeking an experienced data analyst with 5+ years of hands-on Business Intelligence development and administration, strong SQL skills and a passion for building scalable, performant reporting solutions. Running independently and collaborating with our engineering and operations orgs alike, you’ll help both technical and non-technical teams unlock the full value of our data. If you are ready to mold the vision for Reserv’s technology, join us on the journey.

What we need

We need you to do all the things typical to the role:

  • Develop and maintain our Looker ecosystem, aligning with industry best practices for model structure, governance, and scalability
  • Own the documentation and user training program for our Looker reporting suite, improving data literacy and self-service analytics across the company
  • Optimize underlying SQL and DBT models to support faster, more efficient reporting
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to translate business processes into robust, maintainable data models
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between the data team and key internal stakeholders, ensuring analytical solutions meet real business needs
  • Communicate ideas and solutions through clear, concise writing and presentations
  • Help influence the culture, values, and processes of a growing data team
  • Enjoy and have fun being creative and thinking outside of the box. You will need to draw on analogous situations you’ve worked on before, but we are not traversing well-traveled roads. “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads!”

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience as an individual contributor in analytics, with 5+ years of deep experience building and maintaining Looker models and dashboards
  • Expertise in SQL (e.g., Postgres, BigQuery, Snowflake) and experience using dbt for transforming and modeling data
  • Proven track record of managing and improving large-scale reporting environments, focusing on performance, usability, and governance
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize effectively between must-have and nice-to-have features in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a strong technical skillset but also the willingness and ability to take over tasks outside your core competency

Benefits

  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy – we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy
  • Work from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!

At Reserv, we value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences and believe that diversity in viewpoints and critical thinking drives innovation, first-principles thinking, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from all walks of life to apply. If you believe you are a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you!

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
