Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance to lead financial strategy and planning for our complex, operationally intensive business. This person will serve as a partner to leadership, driving planning, margin performance, and strategic decision-making across delivery functions.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role with direct exposure to senior executives. You will serve as the connective tissue between the business and Finance, translating financials into operational strategy, and making Finance an embedded, trusted function—not a reporting layer.

Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in FP&A, strategic finance, or consulting, with the communication and executive presence to own narratives and push back diplomatically. You should thrive in ambiguous environments, bring order to complexity, and be confident defending numbers under scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full financial model and forecast for a business segment, including headcount, delivery costs, margin, and planning cycles
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and R&D leadership to build operating plans aligned to company-wide targets
  • Build and maintain dynamic margin models that reflect delivery complexity and shared cost structures
  • Drive initiatives around unit economics, resource allocation, and headcount forecasting
  • Analyze performance, identify key drivers of variance, and deliver actionable insights
  • Lead management and board reporting processes, including monthly and quarterly packages, executive dashboards, and investor-ready materials
  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate actuals and aligned reporting timelines

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of experience in FP&A, consulting, strategic finance, or investment banking
  • Strong understanding of cost structures, margin modeling, and headcount planning
  • Self-starter with high ownership, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to execute without perfect inputs
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills—comfortable working directly with senior leadership
  • Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments with clarity and poise
  • Advanced Excel/Sheets required; SQL, dashboarding, or BI tool experience is a plus

Why Join Turing

  • Play a foundational role in shaping how financial strategy supports a category-defining company
  • Remote-first culture with autonomy, flexibility, and high standards

Advantages of joining Turing:

  • Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week)
  • Awesome colleagues (Surround yourself with top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc. as well as people with deep startup experience)
  • Competitive compensation
  • Flexible working hours
  • Full-time remote opportunity

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
