Position Overview

Lead the next chapter in Reddit’s tech risk management journey! We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Technology Risk to play a pivotal role in leading a world-class internal audit and risk function, known as Risk Advisory and Assurance (RAA).

In this role, you’ll define and execute the vision to help Reddit better identify and manage enterprise tech risks. You’ll lead the Tech Risk Advisory & Assurance team and work closely with our GRC, Privacy & Security, CorpTech, Engineering, Infra, Finance and Legal teams.

We’re looking for an experienced and strategically-minded leader who understands the technical complexities of tech platforms and digital advertising and can develop strong cross-functional relationships to deliver results.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute the Tech Internal Audit Plan, including SOX compliance, ISO certification, operational audits, Enterprise Risk Management and other risk advisory efforts
  • Perform annual and ongoing Tech risk assessments
  • Make quality, practical recommendations to address risk and improve operations, and support management’s remediation efforts to close out any identified gaps
  • Build strong working relationships and trust with key business partners
  • Develop team members and drive performance
  • Interface with external auditors and serve as the key Tech point of contact
  • Participate in special projects, analysis and reporting as required

Who you might be:

  • 10+ years experience, preferably in a combination of corporate internal audit and Big 4 public accounting
  • Experience working with platform technology companies, preferably in digital advertising
  • Critical thinker able to develop strategy, execute, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Positive, self-motivated, results-oriented leader with a strong work ethic and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Collaborative and proactive partner with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and passion for learning
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and developing talent
  • High integrity and desire to put the needs of customers, users and communities first
  • CISA, CISSP or CIA preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Deep Tech risk, internal audit and SOX knowledge and experience
  • Solid understanding of microservices systems architecture, CI/CD software engineering practices, and cloud infrastructure (E.g. GCP, AWS)
  • Experience navigating first-time SOX compliance a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proven ability to identify and address technical risks effectively
  • Comfortable delivering multiple workstreams under time pressure, and meeting strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with external auditors on integrated audits and familiarity with AuditBoard or similar GRC systems
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant field or relevant experience

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.

The base pay range for this position is:
$194,600$272,400 USD
