Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years. We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser. Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we’re shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies. Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we’re doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission – to make the internet better for people.

The Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren’t beholden to any shareholders — only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

About this team and role:

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to support our Advertising Product and Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the execution of complex, cross-functional programs that drive the development of advertising features, systems and data products. You will coordinate work across engineering, product, data science, and cross-company and external partners to deliver scalable, privacy-compliant solutions in areas like targeting, attribution, bidding, and measurement. As a TPM, you’ll play a key role in influencing system design, driving architectural alignment, and ensuring program goals are met on time. You'll manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, working with global and remote teams, and provide clear updates to stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong program leadership, risk management, and a deep understanding of how technical and business priorities intersect in advertising.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage roadmaps for ad tech and data platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals, technical feasibility, and compliance requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure smooth execution and alignment.
  • Manage communication of technical requirements, changes in project scope using structured verification and change control processes.
  • Report progress, escalate risks, and highlight key achievements to management and relevant partners as needed.
  • Drive architectural alignment and coordinate engineering teams across orgs to deliver scalable ad features such as targeting, attribution, and real-time bidding.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) throughout all advertising and data initiatives.
  • Manage system risks and dependencies, communicate timely among Eng managers, PMs and leaders and mitigate technical delivery risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, ensuring traceability, transparency, and operational continuity.
  • Continuously refine delivery processes and optimize workflows across engineering, data science, and product management teams.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years of technical program management experience in ad delivery and the ad tech ecosystem.
  • Experience managing software engineering programs end to end
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to juggle many activities without losing sight of the highest-priority items
  • Ability to understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions with sometimes imperfect data
  • Good communication skills, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate and interact with leaders within the advertising organization and across the business
  • Experience collaborating with engineering and architecture teams to influence and contribute to the system design of key advertising components
  • Experience ensuring system design decisions balance business requirements, technical feasibility, performance, and long-term maintainability
  • Experience driving architectural reviews and support design of distributed, low-latency systems to handle real-time ad delivery

What you’ll get:

  • Generous performance-based bonus plans to all eligible employees - we share in our success as one team
  • Rich medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Generous retirement contributions with 100% immediate vesting (regardless of whether you contribute)
  • Quarterly all-company wellness days where everyone takes a pause together
  • Country specific holidays plus a day off for your birthday
  • One-time home office stipend
  • Annual professional development budget
  • Quarterly well-being stipend
  • Considerable paid parental leave
  • Employee referral bonus program
  • Other benefits (life/AD&D, disability, EAP, etc. - varies by country)

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
