Your Mission: As part of the Engine team, you’ll play a vital role in an environment where innovation meets collaboration. Here’s what you’ll take charge of:

  • Partner with stakeholders across product, engineering, data science, finance, sales, and marketing to define data needs, build data acquisition strategies, and establish reporting infrastructure for better-informed decision-making.
  • Design and maintain data models across the organization, ensuring appropriate data integration strategies are in place.
  • Lead the development and orchestration of ETL data pipelines, ensuring their monitoring, maintenance, and scalability.
  • Enhance the performance and reliability of our data lake infrastructure and data warehouse, driving efficiency and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to establish data assets and feature stores for process automation, advanced analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize business intelligence infrastructure, ensuring the organization has access to high-quality, actionable data.

What You’ll Bring to Engine: We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:

  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience managing data infrastructure and building ETL/ELT processes at scale.
  • Education: Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience designing and deploying high-performance data processing systems, with strong monitoring and logging practices.
  • Hands-on Knowledge: Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt, Kinesis/Kafka, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work with teams across the organization, providing guidance on data architecture and best practices.
  • Mentorship Skills: Passion for mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Cash compensation: The base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $240,000. Final compensation packages are determined by various factors, including prior experience and expertise. This role is also eligible to receive equity compensation.
