Huntress
Staff Product Manager - Detection Platform
Job Description
Reports To: Director of Product Management
Location: Remote US
Compensation Range: $240,000 to $250,000 base plus bonus and equity
What We Do:
Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.
Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.
We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.
What You’ll Do:
We are building an all-new next-generation Huntress Managed Cybersecurity Platform. As part of this new initiative, we need a highly experienced product management leader to build out the detection platform, which consists of the capabilities, pipelines, and framework that enable our products to detect threats and surface them to our SOC.
As the Staff Product Manager, Detections Platform at Huntress, you will be a “player-coach” responsible for setting the roadmap and direction of all the initiatives and projects of this team, ultimately leading and driving the success and expansion of all our products. You will own the strategy, goals, and (in partnership with other functions) execution of a SaaS platform offering (like other Huntress products) that keeps our customers safe and secure online with cutting-edge capabilities currently only found in the largest enterprises. You will work very closely with the company founders, engineering leaders, support, sales and marketing teams, and other product managers.
To be successful in this position, you must have worked with and built backend services and platforms, with other product teams as your primary stakeholders and customers. You must also have intimate knowledge of how SOCs and Detection Engineering teams function, preferably having worked in the SOC, as an analyst, detection engineer, or threat researcher. You must have a proven track record of working closely with engineering teams and being able to articulate business goals clearly in technical terms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for the highly experienced, fast-moving product platform team that drives our threat foundations
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and leadership to product management staff and contribute to organizational improvement initiatives
- Work with designers, engineers, and architects to create detailed business requirements, epics, and user stories that will be used to shape product specifications and architecture
- Participate as a key contributor in all phases of product development, from discovery to launch
- Serve as the intermediary between engineering and senior management and other non-technical stakeholders with the ability to break down and translate highly technical information into layman's terms and vice versa
- Work with design teams and engineering to produce mockups, wireframes, and eventual prototypes to assess the validity and strength of a new product or feature idea
- Manage and drive results from user experience testing and gain crucial insights into how customers use (or don’t use) the platform
What You Bring To The Team:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in product management with past responsibility for cybersecurity products
- Previous PM experience managing a B2B cybersecurity product
- Must have built a B2B SaaS platform and/or backed services in the past
- Strong knowledge of SOCs, security analyst workflows, and detection pipelines
- Prior experience as a security analyst, security engineer, security practitioner, or software engineer
What We Offer:
- 100% remote work environment - since our founding in 2015
- Generous paid time off policy, including vacation, sick time, and paid holidays
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave
- Highly competitive and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits plans
- 401(k) with a 5% contribution regardless of employee contribution
- Life and Disability insurance plans
- Stock options for all full-time employees
- One-time $500 reimbursement for building/upgrading home office
- Annual allowance for education and professional development assistance
- $75 USD/month digital reimbursement
- Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.
