As of February 2025, we’ve surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and serve more than 5,400 dbt Cloud customers, including JetBlue, HubSpot, Vodafone New Zealand, and Dunelm. We’re backed by top-tier investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter. At our core, we believe in empowering data practitioners:
We are seeking a Staff Product Operations Manager to serve as a force multiplier for our Product organization at dbt Labs. In this role, you'll be the operational backbone of our product team—enabling scale, improving product velocity, and serving as the connective tissue between EPD (engineering, product, design, support, forward deployed engineering) and our GTM teams (solutions architect, sales, sales enablement, sales strategy, etc).
You'll work closely with the Chief Product Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Product Management, Design, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders (including Docs, Support, Enablement, and Marketing) to reduce delivery friction, optimize feedback loops, and drive internal alignment. As our team grows, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the right systems, tools, and rituals are in place to help us operate with excellence.
What You'll Do
Drive Product Launch Readiness
- Orchestrate end-to-end product launches with GTM teams (Sales Enablement, Docs, Support, Marketing, Training)
- Coordinate external-facing PM engagements, including roadmap presentations, beta feedback loops, customer calls, demo days, and conference participation (e.g. Coalesce)
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure the team has the assets, positioning, and product context needed to win in the market
- Collaborate with Support and CS to close the loop on customer issues, feature requests, and product experience gaps
Operationalize Best-in-Class Product Practices
- Drive cross-functional alignment on product innovation by establishing robust interlock processes between Engineering, Product, Design, and GTM teams to ensure CEO and GTM leadership buy-in on strategic product bets and innovation initiatives
- Develop and implement frameworks, tooling, and rituals that elevate product quality and speed
- Build scalable systems for collecting, synthesizing, and actioning user feedback across channels
- Drive experimentation processes and support data-informed decision making by surfacing the right metrics and insights
- Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements that unlock focus and clarity for product teams
- Maintain a single source of truth for our product roadmap, ensuring the company and GTM teams have crystal clear understanding of upcoming releases
- Own processes for contractual commitments, PRDs, beta programs, and product release definitions (GA, preview, beta)
Drive Key Company & EPD Processes
- Own and drive key EPD rituals:
- Monthly EPD all-hands and product demos
- Drive Board of Directors deck completion end-to-end for EPD
- Drive QBR (Quarterly Business Review) completion end-to-end for EPD
- Drive OKRs process including drafting, planning, and tracking for EPD
- Lead EPD roadmap planning end-to-end
- Drive monthly Business Review meetings
Enable Strategic Focus for Product Leaders
- Act as an advisor and right hand to the Chief Product Officer, functioning as a pseudo Chief of Staff for the product organization
- Own key operating cadences—weekly product updates, OKR tracking, board prep, and roadmap management
- Manage core product tools and own all EPD procurement in partnership with Finance and EngOps
- Lead onboarding and continuous learning for product managers
- Serve as the central coordinator across functions for visibility, prioritization, and progress tracking on key initiatives
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
- EPD ↔ GTM Interlock:
- Partner with Sales Enablement to ensure effective product knowledge transfer
- Establish feedback loops to confirm we are building the right products
- EPD ↔ Product Marketing Interlock:
- Collaborate to drive the right narrative and storytelling around our products
- EPD ↔ Data Team Interlock:
- Own adoption metrics and reporting
- Ensure EPD is measuring the right metrics for success
Own Key Product Tools & Analytics
- Drive strategic use of Amplitude across the product organization
- Synthesize and communicate product insights to the Product Manager team
- Manage Pendo implementation and NPS tracking tools
You'll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Influence through credibility, trust, and data—not authority
- Thrive in highly cross-functional environments and are comfortable managing competing priorities
- Communicate clearly and proactively—both verbally and in writing
- Are a systems thinker who loves turning chaos into order and ambiguity into action
- Have a track record of operational excellence in a technical organization
- Are excited by the opportunity to shape the operating model of a high-growth product org
Nice to Have
- Experience in B2B SaaS or data/analytics platforms
- Familiarity with tools like Productboard, Jira, Looker, Hex, Figma, Amplitude, and Pendo
- Prior experience supporting EPD at a high-growth startup or scale-up
Compensation & Benefits

- Equity Stake
- Benefits - dbt Labs offers:

- 401k

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
