What’s the opportunity?


dLocal is scaling across 40+ emerging markets. We need a true strategy athlete to join our Corporate Development & Strategy team who can help us answer the big questions: Where should we play? How do we win? How do pricing, product, and market mix translate into durable growth and returns? How do we quantify our strategy behind all of this? This role combines high-level corporate strategy with hands-on strategic finance & analytics. You will shape multi-year direction and lead deep-dive projects. If you like moving between whiteboard frameworks, messy data, financial models, and executive conversations in the same week, this is for you.




What will I be doing?
  • Build and continuously update dLocal’s 3–5 year strategic planIdentify secular trends in global payments, regulation, FX, and digital commerce and translate them into strategic options.
  • Pressure-test strategic narratives for the executive team, the Board, and investors.
  • Global Pricing Strategy Revamp: build frameworks, run data analyses, model scenarios, recommend changes, support rollout.
  • Market & segment prioritization frameworks (ROI, margin, scalability, regulatory friction).Cross-functional strategic workstreams that turn “vision” into decisions, metrics, and sequencing.
  • Build and maintain decision-grade financial models alongside Finance, linking volume, pricing, take rate, cost-to-serve, and margin outcomes.
  • Develop scenario and sensitivity tools for new geographies, product bets, or commercial structures.
  • Size TAM / SAM / SOM by country and vertical; tie to revenue and gross profit potential.
  • Support investor messaging with data-backed strategic insights (working with IR and finance).
  • Produce crisp strategy memos, board materials, and exec readouts.
  • Translate complex analytics into clear tradeoffs and recommendations.
  • Drive alignment across Finance, Product, Commercial, Legal/Reg, and regional leadership.


What skills do I need?
  • 3–6 years of experience across strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, in-house corporate strategy, strategic finance, or pricing/monetization strategy at a tech, payments, or fintech company.
  • Exceptional structured problem solving; can create frameworks from messy questions.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills (Excel or FP&A stack): scenario, sensitivity, unit economics, contribution margin, pricing waterfalls.
  • Ability to interrogate data quality, reconcile multiple sources, and get to “decision-grade” numbers.Writes and presents clearly to execs; builds persuasive decks and models that tell a story.
  • Can move stakeholders from debate to decision.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and global, fast-moving environments.
  • Payments, acquiring, or cross-border settlements experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to emerging markets payment landscapes is a plus.
  • Pricing strategy or revenue optimization project experience is a plus.
  • Fluent English required; Spanish a plus.
