Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-driven, technically sharp Tax Manager to join our Finance team.

Reporting to the Controller (with a dotted line to the Director of Finance), this role will own the day-to-day tax function while supporting broader corporate accounting initiatives in a complex, multi-entity, dual-listed (TSX/NASDAQ) fintech environment. You’ll be responsible for preparing and reviewing T2s, managing indirect tax compliance, leading CRA audit responses, and driving strategic planning initiatives such as transfer pricing and tax loss utilization.

In addition to tax, you’ll be actively involved in corporate accounting and treasury functions. This role is ideal for someone who wants to broaden their impact across tax, corporate accounting, and treasury in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Base Salary: CAD $110,000 – $140,000

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the corporate tax function: prepare and review T2s, manage GST/HST and SLFI compliance, and lead CRA audits.
  • Maintain and update transfer pricing policies and documentation.
  • Drive tax loss utilization planning and other corporate tax strategies.
  • Support Corporate accounting work, including:
    • Preparing tax provisions and deferred tax calculations
    • Involvement in corporate accounting function, including IFRS analysis and application
    • Helping prepare external audit deliverables and supporting reconciliations
  • Prepare statutory financial reporting for various jurisdictions.
  • Partner with corporate accounting on complex issues and cross-functional investigations.
  • Participate in strategic treasury initiatives such as cash flow forecasting and monitoring, intercompany funding, and capital structure planning.
  • Contribute to process improvements and scalable documentation across tax, accounting, and treasury.
  • Act as a liaison to external advisors and auditors.
What You Bring:
  • CPA designation with In-Depth Tax Course (Level III completed)
  • 7+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including at least 2 years in a management role in public practice (Big 4 or national firms)
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex T2 returns
  • Proven exposure to transfer pricing, tax loss planning, and indirect tax (GST/HST/SLFI)
  • Familiarity with IFRS, particularly IAS 12, and a strong interest in applying IFRS across broader accounting areas
  • Experience supporting financial statements and statutory reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce audit-ready work
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvemen
