Growth Engineering is a small and scrappy team that’s responsible for driving user acquisition, accelerating our marketing teams, and managing the analytics systems that help the business make data-driven decisions. Whether users hear about us through a podcast, a television ad, or a friend, Growth Engineering ensures that the first experiences a user has with Rocket Money are seamless, valuable, and delightful.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:
- Lead a small team that has a direct impact on our business.
- Support engineers in their growth, providing feedback and guidance on architecture, execution, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
- Be accountable for making, measuring, and delivering on team commitments, as well as pivoting when necessary in order to keep the team focused on the most impactful work.
- Make sprint commitments in partnership with Product that balance short-term delivery and long-term maintenance.
- Foster strong working relationships with cross-functional counterparts where problems are addressed directly, and decisions are made based on what’s best for our users, team members, and business.
ABOUT YOU 🦄
- You are an engineer by trade, with a history of shipping production code and working with product teams to design & build user-friendly features.
- You have 5+ years of professional experience working with some combination of TypeScript, React, React-Native, GraphQL, and Postgres (or similar relational database).
- You have production experience with CRMs (ex: Braze), analytics platforms (ex: Segment, GTM, Amplitude), or marketing MMPs (ex: Singular).
- You have at least one year of experience leading an engineering team.
- You can tailor your communication style to suit your team members, identifying where some people might succeed with a more hands-off approach than others.
- You enjoy digging into analytics and production logs to solve user experience issues.
- Experience with FinTech or consumer apps is a plus.

Additional information: Salary range of $150,000 - $200,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
