Job Description

Do you want to work on cutting-edge projects with the world’s best IT engineers? Do you wish you could control which projects to work on and choose your own pay rate? Are you interested in the future of work and how the cloud will form teams? If so - the Gigster Talent Network is for you.

Our clients rely on our Network for two main areas, Software Development and Cloud Services. In some cases, they need help building great new products, in others they want our expertise in migrating, maintaining, and optimizing their cloud solutions.

At Gigster, whether working with entrepreneurs to realize ‘the next great vision’ or with Fortune 500 companies to deliver a big product launch, we build really cool enterprise software on cutting-edge technology.

The Role

We're partnering with an early-stage startup solving a real, high-value problem in the hedge fund space. Fund managers spend $100K/year on research PDFs – we’re building a product to extract critical trading insights using AI and deliver them via a clean, powerful dashboard (no chatbots here).

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead or Founding Engineer to help us build our MVP over the next 3 months.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the product’s technical architecture and direction
  • Ensure we meet ISO/GDPR and security best practices (FinTech compliance)
  • Work closely with our full-stack dev, UX designer, and DevOps engineer
  • Help us ship a high-quality, high-trust MVP for a high-stakes market
  • Set up and own the architecture and tooling decisions from scratch

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience building and scaling AI-driven products or platforms with a focus on security and efficiency
  • Proven ability to scale early-stage technical projects with users in mind
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security
  • Bonus: background in FinTech, hedge funds, or B2B SaaS
  • Startup mindset — pragmatic, fast-moving, collaborative
  • No hard requirement for specific languages or frameworks — we're currently using React + Vite.js, Postgres + PGVector, and FAISS for embeddings, but you're free to shape the stack

Logistics:

  • We’re ready to interview and get started ASAP
  • We know great people are in high demand — while we begin UX improvements and user testing, we’re happy to be flexible on start date
  • Preferred timezones: CET/ London.
  • Preferred location: Remote Europe.

What’s in it for you:

  • Option to evolve into a longer-term leadership or advisory role
  • Build something meaningful in a niche with real commercial demand

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
