About the Role
SandboxAQ is looking for an engineer to help develop AQtive Guard, our suite of enterprise-grade cybersecurity tools. These tools allow our customers to dramatically improve their management of cryptographic assets, enabling a smooth transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC), in line with emerging standards in the field.
We’re looking for an experienced software engineer with a backend focus, someone who has built third-party integrations and user-facing SDKs, and has technical leadership experience. You’ll be part of a diverse team consisting of engineers, cryptographers, and ML experts, playing a key role in advancing the AQtive Guard product.
What You'll Do
- Act as Technical Lead of the third-party integrations team
- Work with SandboxAQ staff to design and implement features for AQtive Guard
- Perform research and author explanatory documents related to ongoing work
- Develop thorough tests at varied levels of abstraction to ensure system stability
- Engage in code design and review sessions, promoting best practices within the team
- Mentor and support other developers, aiding in their growth and fostering collaboration
- Interact with clients to understand their needs, provide support, and gather feedback
Who You Are
- 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer
- Deep development experience in either Go or Rust, and familiarity with both
- Experience as a technical leader, including peer leadership across teams
- Experience building user-facing SDKs
- Track record of delivering complex technical projects
- Experience developing highly-available, performant, distributed applications
- Demonstrated ability to work in a rapid-prototyping environment and adapt to uncertainty
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across time-zones
Nice-To-Haves
- Familiarity with cybersecurity and cryptography
- A history of OSS contributions
- Experience building developer tools
- Familiarity with Python or Kotlin
- Experience with multi-tenant architectures and data isolation patterns
The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $183k-$256k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This role may be eligible for annual discretionary bonuses and equity.
