Vultr is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation Engineer to report to the Site Reliability Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter who is excited about UI and API test automation. This is a highly visible role in a high-growth technology company, which will require experience with Python, Javascript, Selenium, Gitlab CI, and Grafana. What to expect:
- Test Automation Development: Write efficient and maintainable UI and API tests, including thorough documentation and test reporting to ensure transparency and reproducibility of test results.
- Test Automation Maintenance: Maintain existing tests to ensure continued support for the ways customers use our services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams to align development efforts with reliability, scalability, and business objectives.
- Documentation: Produce high-quality test plans for APIs, systems, and processes to ensure stability, speed, and scalability.
- Mentorship: Share knowledge with team members, helping to grow expertise in test automation best practices.
Our new team member will need:
- Experience in writing automated tests using Python (Selenium)
- Familiarity with running tests through Gitlab CI
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and knowledge of cloud-based services.
- Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana for monitoring and reporting test failures.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to address complex automation challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally with teams and stakeholders.
- A commitment to continuous learning and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes or other similar technologies
- Familiarity with Database as a Service (DBaaS)
- Knowledge of cloud-based storage solutions
Compensation:
$100,000 - $120,000
This salary can vary based on location, years of experience, background and skill set.
