Job Description

PandaDoc is seeking a passionate and experienced Vice President of User Experience to lead multi-disciplinary teams in building best-in-class product experiences for our customers. The VP of UX will play a pivotal role in setting the design vision, strategy, workflow, and team structure to achieve world-class design status for the business. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the craft of design, with the ability to inspire and guide a growing team of 30+ across Product Design, UX Research, UX Writing, and Design Operations. The role will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, and the successful candidate should be based in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a world-class design organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement a design strategy that aligns with PandaDoc’s vision, driving a seamless and impactful user experience that feels personalized and delightful for our customers
  • Build and refine scalable design processes, tools, and systems that ensure that the end-to-end user experience is intuitive, human-centered, and aligned with company strategy without compromising agility
  • Partner closely with leadership across functions - product, engineering, research, marketing, and other cross functional teams - to ensure products are well-defined, high impact, and successfully executed
  • Lead the integration of research, data, and deep empathy into the design process. Proactively model innovative ways to embed user insights, ensuring that every design iteration anticipates and enhances the user journey, driving meaningful behavioral change
  • Build and manage a team of designers and managers of designers who are creative, detail and execution oriented, and deliver magical experiences to customers
  • Grow the design team by attracting and hiring new talent

Qualifications:

  • Meaningful experience in Product Design, including significant tenure in a leadership role
  • A portfolio of relevant design work, executed either by yourself or a team that you led, that conveys an ability to ship successful products that customers love
  • Experience working in start-up or fast-paced, high-growth environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, wear multiple hats, and thrive with lighter processes.
  • Ability to create design direction and processes that balance small design iterations with larger experience changes to improve the end-to-end experience and achieve goals
  • A strong bias-to-action to address challenges, build and test products, and learn from failures and successes
  • Executive-level communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate design's strategic impact to senior leadership, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment.
  • Proven experience scaling design operations and processes in high-growth environments, ensuring design consistency, quality, and efficiency at scale.
