Job Description

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest.

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary VP of Product to lead the strategy, vision, and execution for our Direct to Consumer (DTC) business. Reporting to the SVP of Product, this role will be responsible for building world-class consumer experiences that deepen engagement, drive growth, and strengthen our brand. You will be accountable for creating a seamless, personalized, and delightful product experience across our digital channels — web, mobile, and app — to serve tens of millions of customers.

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role that requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of consumer behavior. You'll work closely with senior leadership, engineering, design, marketing, data science, and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver a product roadmap that inspires loyalty, grows our customer base, and enhances our direct channel performance.

What You'll Do

  • Own and drive the end-to-end product strategy and execution for the Direct to Consumer products and business
  • Champion the voice of the customer and embed a customer-first mindset across all stages of product development
  • Lead cross-functional teams to define and deliver high-impact consumer experiences across mobile, web, and other DTC touchpoints
  • Build and mentor a diverse, inclusive, high-performing team of product managers focused on outcomes and excellence
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insights to deeply understand user behavior, needs, and opportunities for innovation and growth
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Data Science leaders to bring products to life that are intuitive, scalable, and brand-aligned
  • Develop product capabilities that drive measurable impact on growth, retention, and revenue through the DTC channel
  • Operate with a strong sense of accountability to KPIs such as conversion, LTV, CAC, engagement, and customer satisfaction
  • Influence senior stakeholders, including the C-suite, by clearly articulating product strategy, tradeoffs, and impact
  • Ensure the DTC product experience supports our overall business and brand strategy

What We Look For

  • 15+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 5 years leading 25+ person product teams in a consumer-facing, growth-driven business, inclusive of GTM.
  • Experience scaling Card products, direct-to-consumer platforms, marketplaces, or e-commerce experiences, across mobile and web in a high-growth environment
  • Deep user empathy, strong product intuition, and an obsession with product quality and user delight
  • Track record of managing and mentoring large, geographically distributed product teams
  • Ability to combine data, research, and market signals to drive prioritization and product innovation
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, especially with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working closely with design-forward organizations that prioritize UX
  • A systems thinker who can balance short-term wins with long-term platform scalability

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
