Individuals and businesses who make health a priority rely on PHM to achieve the best of what's possible in medicine. We believe everyone should benefit from the latest science-backed insights, have access to the best diagnostics, specialists, and treatments, and receive independent guidance to make informed health decisions with confidence.
About the Role
As the Vice President of Strategic Account Management, you will build and lead a high-performing team responsible for deepening client relationships, driving renewals and revenue expansion inside existing clients, and delivering exceptional outcomes to our Employer Benefits & Payor clients. You’ll set the strategic vision for account management, provide leadership and mentorship to a high performing team of AMs, oversee execution across a portfolio of key employer relationships, and serve as a senior advisor to clients navigating complex healthcare challenges.
This is a player-coach role: while leading your team of Strategic Account Managers you’ll also directly manage some of PHM’s most critical relationships and always be willing to step up to the plate when the scenario demands it. You'll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and service delivery teams to ensure that our partners realize the full value of PHM's services—and that our offerings evolve in response to their strategic needs.
What You’ll Accomplish
Team & Leadership
- Lead, coach, and scale a high-performing Strategic Account Management team, fostering excellence in client engagement, retention, and growth.
- Establish performance goals, provide mentorship, and ensure team members are aligned with PHM’s strategic priorities and core values.
- Partner with cross-functional executives on evolving client strategy, service delivery, and revenue planning.
Client Strategy & Relationship Management
- Serve as the executive sponsor for a portfolio of key accounts, building trusted advisor relationships with senior benefits leaders and decision-makers.
- Drive long-term engagement by aligning PHM’s services with each client’s broader health and benefits strategy.
- Provide strategic reporting and insights that clearly communicate clinical outcomes, financial outcomes and member engagement.
Revenue Growth & Expansion
- Own retention and expansion of PHM’s largest and most strategic client relationships.
- Partner with sales to identify and execute upsell opportunities and expand PHM's footprint within existing accounts.
- Lead commercial strategy across renewals, contract negotiations, and benefit ecosystem integrations.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in strategic account management or enterprise relationship leadership—preferably within healthcare, benefits, or health tech.
- Proven success leading a team of client-facing professionals and scaling high-impact account programs.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
- High technology literacy and ability to lead data-driven discussions around value, performance, and impact.
- A strong sense of ownership, strategic thinking, and passion for improving complex care navigation.
- Availability and ability to travel regularly.

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
