Why work at Nebius
Nebius is leading a new era in cloud computing to serve the global AI economy. We create the tools and resources our customers need to solve real-world challenges and transform industries, without massive infrastructure costs or the need to build large in-house AI/ML teams. Our employees work at the cutting edge of AI cloud infrastructure alongside some of the most experienced and innovative leaders and engineers in the field.
Where we work
Headquartered in Amsterdam and listed on Nasdaq, Nebius has a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, North America, and Israel. The team of over 800 employees includes more than 400 highly skilled engineers with deep expertise across hardware and software engineering, as well as an in-house AI R&D team.
The role
Nebius is seeking a visionary and technically credible VP of Developer Relations & Community to build and lead our global developer ecosystem strategy from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape the voice, trust, and engagement of a technical community around a powerful, next-generation cloud platform designed for AI infrastructure and developer innovation.
You will shape our developer strategy, drive adoption through advocacy and enablement, and build the programs and teams that empower developers to build transformative applications on our platform. This role is both strategic and execution-oriented, requiring a passion for developer experience, a deep understanding of modern AI and cloud technologies, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across engineering, community, product marketing, and technical partnerships
Your responsibilities will include:
- Define & scale our global DevRel strategy

Be the internal voice of the developer. Partner with product and engineering to ensure a seamless onboarding experience through high-quality documentation, SDKs, tutorials, and developer tools. - Grow an open, vibrant developer ecosystem
Design programs to drive developer adoption, engagement, and contribution across key technical domains such as compute, containers, AI/ML infrastructure, and GPU orchestration. - Lead Nebius’s technical storytelling
Represent the company publicly at developer conferences and industry forums. Create and amplify technical content—blogs, talks, videos—that inspire and educate. - Launch and scale community programs
Build and run global engagement initiatives including hackathons, meetups, ambassador networks, and open-source collaborations. Forge partnerships with technical universities and community groups. - Build the developer content strategy
Own and execute the developer content strategy—including documentation, tutorials, how-to guides, and blog posts—ensuring clarity, consistency, and technical accuracy across all materials. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex features into actionable content, engage with the developer community for feedback, and track performance metrics to continuously improve impact. - Build and lead a world-class team
Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing, globally distributed team across developer advocacy, technical content, community, and partner programs. - Collaborate cross-functionally
Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and partnerships to influence product roadmap, go-to-market alignment, and the evolution of developer-facing features. - Drive impact through metrics
Establish and report on KPIs that reflect the health, growth, and reach of Nebius’s developer ecosystem. Use data to iterate and improve. - Stay ahead of the curve
Monitor industry trends and developer expectations to continuously refine strategy, ensuring Nebius remains relevant, compelling, and competitive.
We expect you to have:
- 15+ years in developer-focused leadership roles (DevRel, engineering, product, or technical marketing), including 3+ years at the VP or Director level
- Proven success leading Developer Relations for cloud infrastructure, developer platforms, or API-first companies
- Strong technical background in cloud services, containers, serverless, or AI/ML technologies
- Experience scaling global developer ecosystems using data-driven strategies and OKRs—especially across EMEA and North America
- Skilled at building and engaging technical communities across multiple channels (e.g., docs, GitHub, events, Discord)
- Exceptional communicator and technical storyteller—both written and spoken
- Effective cross-functional collaborator with product, engineering, comms, and marketing
- Passionate about empowering developers with great tools and experiences
- Strategic mindset with hands-on, operational approach

Verify Employer Thoroughly
Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.
Never Pay to Get a Job
Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.
Safeguard Your Personal Information
Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.
Scrutinize Communication & Interviews
Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.
Beware of Unrealistic Offers
If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.
Insist on a Formal Contract
Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
