Job Overview:
The Account Executive will play a key role in supporting the sales team by managing outbound prospecting activities, qualifying leads, and assisting in closing deals. You will work closely with senior sales team members and have the opportunity to learn the full sales cycle in a B2B SaaS environment. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is eager to grow their career in sales and build meaningful relationships with potential customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential clients through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach. Conduct research to understand target companies and their needs.
- Opportunity Qualification: Collaborate with Senior Account Executives to identify high-quality leads and move them through the sales pipeline. Help assess customer needs and qualify opportunities for fit with the company’s solutions.
- Sales Outreach: Manage and execute outbound prospecting campaigns, following up on inbound leads, and conducting cold outreach to generate interest in the company’s SaaS offerings.
- CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate information in SalesForce, tracking all sales activities, prospect interactions, and lead status.
- Customer Relationship Building: Establish rapport with prospects by understanding their business needs, articulating the value of the company’s solutions, and positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
- Assisting in Sales Cycle: Support Senior Account Executives during the sales cycle, including scheduling meetings, preparing sales materials, and assisting with follow-ups. Gain experience in product demos and negotiations over time.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, sales development, and customer success teams to ensure a smooth handoff of leads and maximize the effectiveness of sales outreach.
- Sales Training & Development: Participate in ongoing sales training and development programs, learning best practices for SaaS sales and gradually taking on more responsibility as you grow in the role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in sales with 1-2 years of experience in an account executive, or a customer-facing role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology company.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with prospects and team members.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a desire to learn and grow in a sales career.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales engagement tools is a plus.
- Basic understanding of the B2B SaaS sales process and willingness to learn more about the industry.
- Familiarity with the sales pipeline and lead qualification processes, and the ability to run discovery calls independently.
