Job Description

Title: Account Executive I

Reports to: Sales Manager - Australia

Location: Remote Australia

Compensation Range: $87,000 AUD base with on target earnings at $174,000 AUD

What We Do:

Huntress is a fully remote, global team of passionate experts and ethical badasses on a mission to break down the barriers to cybersecurity. Whether creating purpose-built security solutions, hunting down hackers, or impacting our community, our people go above and beyond to change the security game and make a real difference.

Founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, Huntress protects all businesses—not just the 1%—with enterprise-grade, fully owned, and managed cybersecurity products at the price of an affordable SaaS application. The Huntress difference is our One Team advantage: our technology is designed with our industry-defining Security Operations Center (SOC) in mind and is never separated from our service.

We protect 3M+ endpoints and 1M+ identities worldwide, elevating underresourced IT teams with protection that works as hard as they do. As long as hackers keep hacking, Huntress keeps hunting.

What You’ll Do:

Huntress is looking for an Account Executive to add to our growing team in Australia. As part of this impactful go-to-market team, you will be critical to the success and growth of Huntress in the region. In this role, you will collaborate with the wider Huntress team and work closely with your SDR’s to close new partner opportunities within your assigned territory. You will continue to educate and add value to partners through upsell and cross-sell opportunities. This is a quota-carrying role and is critical to the continued success of Huntress.

Huntress approaches sales as an opportunity to educate our partners. We have a value-based, solution-oriented sales process. We do not push end-of-quarter deals or haggle for every dollar; we believe that if our product is right for the prospect, they will buy it.

We're looking for individuals who embrace our sales approach, are value-based sellers, coachable, curious, intelligent, resilient, team-oriented, and have customer-centric empathy.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage a pipeline of leads from outreach, qualification, and close
  • Utilise strong knowledge of product offerings to educate, and build credibility and trust with customers within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) community
  • Work to achieve and exceed quarterly sales targets
  • Develop a deep understanding of Huntress’s security platform and use that knowledge to promote our products, negotiate opportunities, and close new business
  • Creatively source new prospects and thoughtfully position Huntress' offerings to suit their needs. Be a trusted advisor and an industry expert
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with various functional teams, including Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, Product Management, and Partner/Customer Success, to ensure seamless implementation and effective ongoing account growth
  • Exceed sales goals and quarterly revenue targets while being a collaborative member of the team

What You Bring To The Team:

  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in a strategy sales position
  • Experience managing a high volume of clients and leads while also offering high-touch, consultative account management
  • Comfortable working within and maintaining accurate records and forecasting within a CRM system
  • Strong presentation and active listening skills
  • Ability to prioritise, stay organised, and handle changing priorities
  • A growth mindset as our industry is rapidly changing and new information is shared daily
  • Thrive in a team environment where knowledge sharing and active contributions are encouraged
  • Previous experience working with MSPs is helpful but not required
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity or cybersecurity sales is helpful but not required

What We Offer:

  • Fully remote work
  • At least one annual trip to the US for Summer Summit, with additional local events in Australia!
  • New starter home office set up reimbursement ($800 AUD)
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers
  • Digital monthly reimbursement ($185 AUD)
  • Subsidised private health insurance through our preferred provider
  • Stock options for all full-time employees
  • Access to the BetterUp platform for coaching, personal, and professional growth

Huntress is committed to creating a culture of inclusivity where every single member of our team is valued, has a voice, and is empowered to come to work every day just as they are.

We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, veteran status, genetic information, marital status, or any other legally protected status.

People from all culturally diverse backgrounds, including Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Peoples, are encouraged to apply.

We do discriminate against hackers who try to exploit businesses of all sizes.

Safe Remote Job Search Tips

Verify Employer Thoroughly

Research the company's identity thoroughly before applying. Check for a professional website with contacts, active social media, and LinkedIn profiles. Verify details across platforms and look for reviews on Glassdoor or Trustpilot to confirm legitimacy.

Never Pay to Get a Job

Legitimate employers never require payment for applications, training, background checks, or equipment. Always reject upfront payment requests or demands for bank details, even if they claim it's for purchasing necessary work gear on your behalf.

Safeguard Your Personal Information

Protect sensitive data like SSN, bank details, or ID copies. Share this only after accepting a formal, written job offer. Ensure it's submitted via a secure company system or portal, never through insecure channels like standard email attachments.

Scrutinize Communication & Interviews

Watch for communication red flags: poor grammar, generic emails (@gmail), vague details, or undue pressure. Be highly suspicious of interviews held only via text or chat apps; legitimate companies typically use video or phone calls.

Beware of Unrealistic Offers

If an offer's salary or benefits seem unrealistically high for the work involved, be cautious. Research standard pay for similar roles. Offers that appear 'too good to be true' are often scams designed to lure you into providing information or payment.

Insist on a Formal Contract

Always secure and review a formal, written job offer or employment contract before starting work or sharing final personal details. Ensure it clearly defines your role, compensation, key terms, and conditions to avoid misunderstandings or scams.
