What's the Opportunity?
The AI Engineering Leader has a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for guiding the team that develops enterprise-level solutions aimed at scaling and automating value-driven outcomes for our business. The leader will oversee all aspects of AI engineering, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that meet both business and technical requirements. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you'll be responsible for driving AI projects from conceptualization to implementation.
- Collaborating closely with both business and engineering teams to identify, define, and prioritize AI and machine learning projects.
- Leading the quick and effective development of proofs of concept for various AI initiatives.
- Designing, building, and deploying AI solutions using a stack that features Python, machine learning libraries, AI third-party services, and AWS services.
- Serving as a mentor and technical leader within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- You'll be responsible for communicating and planning between other teams.
- You'll be responsible for hiring for your team.
- You'll be expected to drive technical direction in projects and ensure they meet scalability and robustness requirements, involving other stakeholders when needed.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Python and a deep familiarity with standard machine learning libraries.
- Experience in applied machine learning projects.
- Practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS, it is a plus to have experience in GCP.
- Practical knowledge in building and deploying microservices.
- Capability to integrate third-party APIs and AI services.
- Experience with monitoring applications in production.
- Experience with code versioning (GitHub, BitBucket, or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Enjoy writing documentation and understand why it's valuable.
- Advanced/fluent English.
